What is an Artboard? It is a sturdy, strong, flat board that is made of pressed paper and covered with a slightly textured white paper. Why are there Artboards? To give you the perfect surface for mixed media, crafts, art, home decor projects and more. Unlike a stretched canvas, which is more flexible on top or a piece of wood that is natural in color, this white covered, flat board will accept any craft medium, show off the true color, hold heavier objects, allow you to nail or drill in and stands alone as a piece of art on an easel, in a frame or on its own. Available currently in 2 sizes 6"x6" and 8"x10"and we hope to expand the sizes and thicknesses as they become more popular.
7gypsies Artboards are thick pressed boards covered with a slightly textured white paper to create the perfect mixed media surface. You can transform with just about any paint, ink, dye, watercolor, etc. medium to transform the Artboard to coordinate with your design.
Leave the board as it is, paint it or distress the edges and cover with a great paper like this Floral Guide Architextures paper that is available in 12x12 sheet or as part of the Architextures 8x8 Paper Pad and it is perfectly vintage.
The finished piece is magnificent and you can layer, add heavier objects, mix your media and you have a work of art to put on display. To see the entire project and get all the details visit our blog - The Creative Studio and see what this Strange Little Girl is up to.
